چکیده

Using the negative U Hubbard model we analyze normal state properties of a superconductor. In this model there exists a characteristic pairing temperature TP above a superconducting critical temperature. Below TP electrons start to form incoherent pairs. The fluctuations in charge and phase are precursors of charge density wave and superconductivity phases depending on band filling. They lead naturally to pseudogap opening in the density of states.

Metal ammonia solutions: A lattice model approach

A generalized Falicov–Kimball model is applied to study the phase diagram of metal ammonia solutions. The model includes a fluid–fluid interaction term and an electron–fluid interaction with a hard core and an attractive tail. Mean-field theories are derived for the localized and delocalized electron phases using ideas from the slave-boson approach to the Hubbard model. The attractive force sta...

1 5 D ec 1 99 8 Magnetic and Charge Correlations of the 2 - dimensional t − t ′ − U Hubbard model

Using a spin-rotation invariant six-slave boson representation, we study the square lattice Hubbard model with nearest-neighbor hopping t and next-nearest neighbor hopping t ′. We discuss the influence of t ′ on the charge and magnetic properties. In the hole-doped domain, we find that a negative t ′ strongly favors itinerant ferromag-netism over any incommensurate phase, especially in the stro...

Study of the ionic Peierls-Hubbard model using density matrix renormalization group methods

Density matrix renormalization group methods are used to investigate the quantum phase diagram of a one-dimensional half-filled ionic Hubbard model with bond-charge attraction, which can be mapped from the Su-SchriefferHeeger-type electron-phonon coupling at the antiadiabatic limit. A bond order wave (dimerized) phase which separates the band insulator from the Mott insulator always exists as l...

Static versus dynamic fluctuations in the one-dimensional extended Hubbard model

The extended Hubbard Hamiltonian is a widely accepted model for uncovering the effects of strong correlations on the phase diagram of low-dimensional systems, and a variety of theoretical techniques have been applied to it. In this paper the world-line quantum Monte Carlo method is used to study spin, charge, and bond order correlations of the one-dimensional extended Hubbard model in the prese...

Superconductivity in the vicinity of charge ordered state in organic conductor β - ( meso - DMBEDT - TTF ) 2 PF 6

We study theoretically competition between the charge ordering and the superconductivity in the two-dimensional organic conductor β-(meso-DMBEDT-TTF)2PF6. We analyze the extended Hubbard model on a weakly-dimerized lattice based on the random phase approximation and Eliashberg equations. We found the reentrant behavior of the checkerbord-type charge-ordered phase in the phase diagram, and the t...
